You get on the scale and\u2026it hasn\u2019t budged. Or worse, you\u2019ve gained weight.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s the moment you feel discouraged and frustrated. You question your ability to be successful.\u00a0 You think, <em>\u201cThis is never going to work. I might as well give up now.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<h2><strong>What to do<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>When you hit that moment, here are some strategies for getting through without derailing your weight loss efforts.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-15077\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.personaltrainerfood.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/pug-on-scale.jpg?resize=800%2C535&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"535\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>First,<\/strong> the best thing you can do for yourself when you are on a diet is to NOT weigh yourself every day.\u00a0 Your weight will fluctuate based on a lot of different factors. The scale is not your friend in this situation. We know it\u2019s tempting, but don\u2019t constantly weigh yourself. Stick to your program and trust the process.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Second,<\/strong> if you do have that moment and you feel like giving up and eating that piece of cake, or pizza\u2026do something else.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Take a walk.<\/strong>\u00a0 Exercising helps take your mind off of eating.\u00a0 It also releases endorphins which can make you feel better.
