Sandra is a well-known health food advocate and has been passionate and active in spreading wellbeing with health supportive organic wholefoods for over 2 decades.
Sandra’s life-long interest and commitment has been motivated by the desire to improve the quality of life for those she meets.

Confronted 25 years ago with serious health problems, Sandra travelled the world to learn, absorb, and subsequently master the skills, ingredients and processes necessary to not only to maintain her own health, but to share this knowledge with others.
Her mission is to demystify health foods and inspire people by educating them in the use of more natural foods, improved cooking techniques and understanding holistic nutrition.




 

She travels extensively especially to Europe, Asia and U.S.A to investigate traditional foods, food as medicine, the health food scene, study macrobiotics, and natural food cookery with many masters of the health food movement.

Over the years she has been involved in importing, wholesaling and retailing natural foods. Aside from owning and operating a popular health food store and cafes, learning about foods being medicines and their healing properties led Sandra to establishing the original Melbourne Japanese Cooking School in 1986 as well as running Vegetarian and Macrobiotic-style cooking classes.

She has since taught Health Supportive Vegetarian and Macrobiotic Wholefood Cooking at various venues – The Council of Adult Education, The Vital Ingredient, Holmesglen TAFE, Box Hill Institute, overseas and at her private kitchen in Melbourne.

She has taught “Food As Medicine” at Monash Uni Medical School, Swinburne Department of Integrative Medicine and now runs her own Nutrition Course at Holmesglen TAFE.

Sandra continues her journey with health supportive organic wholefoods by running cooking classes, presenting workshops and seminars on nutrition and food as medicine, as well as consulting and creating health supportive wellbeing programs for corporate and private clients. As a Holistic Nutritionist , In 1999 Sandra created and produced Australia’s leading nutritional wholefood vegetarian cookbook on video/dvd
